The story starts at Skanssi
CHALLENGE
We were challenged by the Skanssi Shopping Centre in Turku, Finland to execute a creative refresh that placed customers and community at its heart.
SOLUTION
First, we crafted a new and dynamic visual language for the brand: renewing colours, fonts, graphic elements and photography to match Skanssi’s new people-first positioning.
Then, we created a new slogan and tonal framework for the brand. One that moved away from traditional shopping centre messaging and focused instead on the stories and everyday beauty that make third spaces like Skanssi so vital for a community.
RESULTS
We launched the new brand with a multi-channel campaign that sampled iconic nature poet, Katri Vala, breaking down the walls between commerce and culture in an attention-grabbing way.
The campaign was all about stories. The small discoveries that teach us something new about ourselves. The spaces that provide us room to pause, breathe and live just a little more. The campaign and new brand were received with delight and enthusiasm, with Skanssi’s visitor numbers and sales both seeing sustained growth since launch.
